History History
One of the last two Colonsay Champions and handled by Miss Alice Hazeldine (who inherited Colonsay and followed with her own Ickworth line), he was born in 1965 with a lower inbreeding coefficient for the time of only 16.5%. Neither his one littermate nor his one full sibling were titled. Though he had no maternal half siblings he did have 88 paternal half siblings (only 2 of which were titled, one of which was the significant sire Eng. Ch. Ickworth Ready). Red Tabs was bred 34 times to produce 78 progeny. Six of these breedings were repeat breedings to six different bitches. He produced two champions and was one of the founding dogs for Miss Hazeldine's Ickworth line siring her first Ickworth champion, Eng. Ch. Ickworth Proper Pretty..
